Terms of Use
Last updated: 7 October 2026
These terms cover your use of largeprintwordsearches.com and everything you print or download from it. By using the site you accept them. They are deliberately permissive: the puzzles are meant to be printed and shared.
What you may do
You may, at no cost and without asking:
- Print, download and photocopy any puzzle on this site.
- Use them at home, in a care home, assisted living or memory care setting, a library, a club or a classroom.
- Hand out printed copies, including a full set for an activity session.
- Include printed puzzles in an activity pack you give away for free.
- Use the word search maker to make puzzles from your own word lists, and print and share those too.
This applies to care providers, libraries, schools and non-profits as much as to individuals. No credit is required, though a link back is always welcome.
What we ask you not to do
- Don’t resell our puzzles, on their own or inside a paid book, bundle or download, on Amazon, Etsy or anywhere else.
- Don’t rehost them. Please don’t upload our PDFs or images to another website, file-sharing service or app. Link to the page instead, so people always get the current, corrected version.
- Don’t claim them as your own, or remove the site name in order to do so.
- Don’t scrape the site in bulk or use automated tools that slow it down for other people.
If you want to do something these terms don’t cover, ask us. The answer is usually yes.
Ownership
The Large Print Word Searches name, site design, puzzle generator and the specific puzzles and layouts published here belong to us. Common words and themes are nobody’s property, and the permissions above are a licence to use our material, not a transfer of ownership. The Atkinson Hyperlegible typeface is the Braille Institute’s and is used under its open font licence.
Not medical advice
Some pages describe puzzles and activities for people living with dementia or memory loss. They are general information for families and carers, not medical advice, and they are no substitute for guidance from a doctor, nurse or occupational therapist who knows the person.
Accuracy, and no warranty
Every puzzle and answer key is generated by software and checked, because a word that can’t be found is the most frustrating thing a puzzle can do. Even so, the site and its files are provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don’t guarantee the site will always be available or that every file will print perfectly on every printer. If something is wrong, tell us and we’ll fix it for everyone.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or its puzzles. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
Advertising and third-party links
This site is funded by advertising. Ads are served by third parties, and their presence isn’t an endorsement by us. We also link to other websites from time to time and are not responsible for their content. How advertising affects your data is explained in theprivacy policy.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site grows. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Anything you have already printed stays covered by the terms as they were when you printed it.
Governing law
Large Print Word Searches serves a United States audience, and these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
