Most printable sudoku squeezes a 9×9 grid into a quarter of the page and sets the numbers in whatever font came to hand. These fill the sheet, in numerals large enough to read without leaning in — the same approach as the word searches, applied to a grid of digits.

What makes these large print
A standard 9×9 grid on a full US Letter page gives each cell about an inch and a half of space, so the numerals print near an inch tall. For comparison, a newspaper sudoku runs about a fifth of that. The givens sit on a lightly shaded square so it is obvious at a glance which numbers are fixed and which are yours to fill in — useful when the puzzle gets picked up and put down over a few days.
The typeface is Atkinson Hyperlegible, designed by the Braille Institute for low-vision readers. It matters more for sudoku than for word searches, because its numerals are drawn to be told apart: the zero is slashed, the one has a foot, and 6, 8 and 9 do not collapse into each other at a glance.
How the difficulties differ
Difficulty here is set by how many numbers you start with. The easy puzzles give you around 45 of the 81 cells, the medium ones about 35, and the hard ones about 27 — and every puzzle, at every level, has exactly one correct solution. That is checked by solver before the puzzle is ever rendered, so you will never hit a grid with two valid answers or none at all.
If the 9×9 grids are a strain rather than a challenge, the easy large print sudoku page has 6×6 grids, which print half again as large.

Are these sudoku puzzles really free?
Yes — free to print, download and photocopy, with no sign-up and no watermark. Care homes, libraries, senior centers and activity groups can use them in any quantity.
How large do the numbers print?
On a full US Letter sheet a 9×9 grid gives numerals close to an inch tall — several times the size of a newspaper sudoku. The 6×6 grids on the easy page print larger again.
Does every puzzle have exactly one solution?
Yes. Each grid is verified by a solver during generation, and any puzzle with more than one valid solution is rejected and regenerated. The answer key is page two of every PDF.
